As a membership organisation, Scottish Land & Estates (SLE) is responsible for championing and supporting rural businesses that provide economic, social and environmental benefits to one of Scotland’s most important assets – the countryside.
If you’d like to be part of our busy team which campaigns, informs and influences on a broad range of issues from flytipping to wildlife conservation and from housing to farming, and think you can help us achieve our goals, then we’d love to hear from you.
We’re seeking someone who can multitask, collaborate and use their campaigning experience to help us raise awareness and improve understanding of the important role both SLE and our members play with a wide range of audiences. You will have a special focus on political and government stakeholders and the Scottish and UK media. You will need to have experience of advising and influencing colleagues at all levels and be confident representing SLE in meetings with stakeholders.
You’ll work as part of a small, friendly team, where there will also be lots of opportunities to develop your knowledge, skills and experience across a range of communications disciplines.
This role offers hybrid working with a combination of home working and time in our Musselburgh office each week.
This is a full-time role working 34.5 hours per week (usually 9 – 5 Mon to Thurs, 9 – 4.30 Fri), but we are a flexible organisation and open to different working patterns to help you achieve a work-life-balance. You will get 30 days holiday per year including bank holidays, along with additional leave to cover office closure between Christmas and New Year.
Other benefits include great learning and development opportunities to help you achieve your CPD, contribution to professional body fees, time off in lieu allowance, contributory pension, bike to work scheme and free office parking.
